Lytic Lesions & Radiation

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

They could not radiate it entirely the 1st time, as it is too close to the brain stem. It is back, supposedly the same one. The neurologist made an appt. with the Rad. Oncologist. He sees the reg. Oncologist next week. His labs have all been good.😟 I'm assuming since they could not get all of it the 1st time, it will keep… read more

How To Deal With Plasmacytoma?

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a plasmacytoma on my cervical spine that is pushing on my c7 nerve and causing arm and hand pain. Been about 2 months or so. Getting another MRI in a week. Radiation or surgery I suppose are my options. Anyone have similar experience? I'm hoping to get my nerve back to normal.

I have had periodic scalp burn sensation when out in the sun. This is totally new after 1 year of treatment. I was started on Faspro about 3 months ago. Could that cause it?

I get this too. Actually my cheeks and arms burn also. I'm on Darzalex and Pomalyst. I try to wear a big hat and use lots of sunscreen. My scalp also itches after taking Pomalyst.

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 3 questions are these. How are they going to demonstrate to me that they killed the tumor? Why have I not been told of a maintenance plan to prevent this turning to MM. (most Plasmacytoma will). And third and last question what is a good surveillance plan that I should expect to have?

I had 10 straight days of radiation to two areas of my spine, right hip and pelvis. It did cause some mild pain and tiredness, but really didn't have much side effects.
