I have not been able to see my Myeloma specialist, Dr Sagar Lonial at Emory in over 2 years because in 2020 I was in the hospital here having surgery for a twisted small intestine & in 2021 I had fallen & had to have a hip replacement. I am just not able to make the trip anymore to Emory & I have not had a BMB or any of my yearly tests since 2019. They are good, that's where I had my stem cell transplant almost three years ago, I haven't had any problems so far, thank God.
I've had all my shots, followed the CDC guidelines, and have not had COVID.
How do you deal with the isolation?
You do have to wait as the childhood shots MMR are derived from live viruses. Can't have that for at least a year as your immune system is still compromised
