So Four Years In And It Seems I Now Need To Change My Drugs Away From Revlimid. What Are My Options?
What Defines Remission? Does It Require A Complete Absence Of M Proteins?
I was diagnosed with MM in September 2022 after a four year old knee replacement became infected. I started a Velcade/Dexamethasome/Revlimid regimen immediately. Had a stem cell transplant in February 2023. Restarted treatment with the addition of Daratumamab in April 2023.
My M Proteins have continued to go down, but I don't know if they have to become undetectable before I'm considered in remission.
Thanks for your wisdom.
Me too! The knee has been opened three times. That's quite enough.
Is A Stem Cell Transplant Inevitable?
I am newly diagnosed I have stage 1 MM. doctor is putting me a few meds which is saying is a low form of chemo. and Suggested I go get stem cells ready in case I may need a SCT. Is it inevitable that as this progresses I will definitely have to do the stem cell transplant?
