Blue Rock, OH

Myeloma, on cycle 11, maintenance for past 2 months, darazelex monthly, Revlimid 10 mg daily, and decadron 12 mg monthly. be came to tired, exhausted, stool was soft and at times diarrhea for about 2 weeks, stomach making loud noises, heart burn and lower legs muscle weakness. 2 days ago the Dr. reported not to take revlimid until I see the Dr, on 10/05/2026. My M-spike is 0.4. I was wondering if I could take Revlimid 21 on and off 7 days. Is the Dr. correct?

It sounds like you're dealing with a lot of uncomfortable side effects right now — fatigue, digestive issues, muscle weakness — that's genuinely tough, especially while working so hard to stay on top of your treatment.

Your doctor's advice to pause Revlimid until your appointment is worth following. The side effects you're describing — diarrhea, fatigue, muscle weakness, and GI issues — are all known potential side effects of Revlimid, and your doctor likely wants to assess how you're doing before continuing. Regarding the 21 days on, 7 days off schedule — this is actually a common dosing approach for Revlimid in myeloma treatment. However, changing your dosing schedule without your doctor's direct approval isn't recommended, especially since they've specifically asked you to hold the medication right now.

Your M-spike of 0.4 is something your doctor will factor into their decision about how to proceed.

The best steps right now are:

- Follow your doctor's instruction to pause Revlimid until your October 5th appointment
- Document all your symptoms — timing, severity, frequency — to share at your visit
- Contact your care team before the appointment if symptoms worsen, especially the diarrhea or muscle weakness
- Ask your doctor specifically about the 21/7 dosing schedule at your visit — it's a great question to raise
