Members responded reassuringly to the question about having a colonoscopy after a multiple myeloma diagnosis, with the overwhelming majority reporting no complications from the procedure itself. Several members shared that polyps were found and safely removed, and a few noted that alternative options like Cologuard were recommended for those with prep allergies. A recurring theme was managing digestive side effects from Revlimid, with members suggesting remedies like the BRAT diet, colesevelam, probiotics, turmeric tea, and ginger mint tea while encouraging everyone to stay current with routine cancer screenings.

Hi Sarah. I wanted to let you know that everything went fine, thankfully. All set for another 5 years. Good luck with yours next week and let me know how it goes.

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member,
I have diarrhea off and on. Sometimes for months. I just heard of a remedy I had never heard before. Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Tumeric and add it to 5 ounces of hot water and drink. I’m told it tastes like mud, but works within minutes. I just bought some Tumeric yesterday, so that I have it next time I have tummy trouble. Hope this helps. You might also talk to your doctor about reducing the dosage of Revlimid.
