I got terrible bloating from Dex. For months. My abdomen was extremely bloated. Painful too. It made me really feel for women who are pregnant! Once treatment stopped it finally subsided, thank God.

- Revlimid (lenalidomide) β can cause abdominal bloating, gas pains, and nausea
- Hypercalcemia β high calcium levels linked to myeloma can cause abdominal discomfort
- Constipation β makes it harder to pass stool, leading to bloating Here are some ways to help manage bloating:
- Stay hydrated β drinking plenty of fluids supports digestion
- Eat fiber-rich foods β both soluble (oats, apples, beans) and insoluble fiber help regulate bowel movements
- Try warm liquids in the morning β this can help get things moving
- Gentle stomach massage β can encourage the bowels to move waste along
It's really important to talk to your doctor before changing or stopping any medications, or before trying over-the-counter remedies. They can help identify the exact cause and suggest the safest approach for you.
