Swollen lymph nodes

Does smoldering myeloma have anything to do with swollen lymph nodes. I one on each clavicle. The night before they popped up I had terrible night sweats and 104 fever. ENT oncologist did US negative. Now, I have a swollen lymph node in my groin. Very painful
My husband wants me to call my PCP for an US
I read to give it 2 weeks - it may go away

Tina, Myeloma does not typically cause swollen lymph nodes and night sweats. This is concerning and needs to be assessed by your doctor.

My mother had ovarian cancer. I noticed her stomach was large and hard. The.next symptom was an enlarged lymph node in her groin. After years of treatment, she decided to stop. As her cancer grew, it spread to her lungs, grew tumors in her abdomen, and one on her spine, a lymph node in her neck got so large, it pushed out on her skin. It was the size of a large halved potato. Your cancer may be spreading and the SMM is just one part of your complicated health story. Talk to Hospice now. Ask them if they will hydrate you as a comfort measure, so you will know when you are ready for them, what to expect. Also, contact another Palliative Care Company to see if they can help. Not all will offer you euthanasia, which is against God’s will for you.🙏🏻🕊️✝️💕

- SMM affects your immune system, which can make you more vulnerable to infections
- A 104° fever with night sweats followed by multiple swollen lymph nodes appearing in different areas of your body is something that needs prompt medical attention
- A painful groin lymph node appearing after the clavicle nodes is a new development that your care team needs to know about SMM itself doesn't typically cause swollen lymph nodes directly, but your immune system is already working differently because of it. That combination of high fever, night sweats, and now spreading lymph node involvement really does warrant a call today — not in two weeks.
