Toclilizumab, a rheumatoid treatment, is a game changer for bi-specific and car-t treatments that allow for outpatient treatment.
Yes, he is on IVIG based on immunoglobulin blood test results below 400 (probably monthly) and prophylactic Bactrim 3days a week.
Yes, he had Tocilizumab before Linvoseltamab and had no CRS. It was done outpatient. He also had Tocilizumab before he took Talquetamab, also outpatient with no CRS either. Unfortunately, he stopped responding to Talquetamab early on so he started on Linvoseltamab first start up dose on July 9, 2026. Looking forward to Ibertamide FDA approval August 17, 2026. It has proven in clinical trials to help T-cell viability.

I just read a new article yesterday, from Cancer Therapy Advisor. “EHA 2026: Dr Rahul Banerjee Discusses New Options in Multiple Myeloma.”
He said with the new trials he was talking about, they are not waiting for CRS or low antibodies and infections, but giving tocilizumab and IVIg ahead of time. Is your husband getting that with this new drug he is on?
