My husband is in remission (second time). He lost a lot of weight. Has trouble eating because of foul taste of food. Tried lemons, lemon drops, miracle fruit, honey. So far, no luck.
Yes, he is still getting an infusion (sarclacia??) every 2 weeks and taking Expovio. Dr. doesn’t want to stop all meds yet but they are taking a toll on his body. His meds were stopped during his first remission, but it wasn’t long before his numbers started rising.
If he's in remission, is he still taking chemo drugs? I'm a case study of one, but I've been off all cancer-related drugs since 2010. Trust but verify.
I forgot to mention he is weak & wobbly with neuropathy and swelling in his feet due to his treatments.
He did try ginger & mints and has to drink 3 protein shakes per day. He forces himself to eat an egg, a sausage patty or couple bites of meat. He was told he will be bedridden in 6 months if he doesn’t eat.
