Jan, I have been on Tecvayli for a little over a year. My dose has been reduced to once per month and my tests show remission but my doctors feel I should stay on the monthly schedule for a while. I hope you do well being off treatment and am encouraged that you can move off treatment completely. Best wishes!

How long did you stay on Tecvayli (teclistamab) for your multiple myeloma, and are you hoping your remission continues now that you've stopped?

It's encouraging that you were able to complete a year of treatment. Tecvayli is a bispecific antibody that helps your immune system target myeloma cells, and many people have seen good responses with it.

Here's what we know about staying off treatment after Tecvayli:

- In clinical trials, about 62% of people with relapsed or refractory myeloma responded to Tecvayli
- The goal after any myeloma treatment is to achieve and maintain remission for as long as possible
- Some people do stay in remission after stopping treatment, though myeloma can be unpredictable

A MyMyelomaTeam member who has relapsed multiple times emphasized the importance of staying engaged in life beyond being a patient - focusing on family, hobbies, and activities that take your mind away from thinking about medications and protocols.

Keep working closely with your oncology team to monitor your status. They'll likely check your blood work regularly to catch any changes early. If the myeloma does return, there are many other treatment options available, including other bispecific antibodies, CAR T-cell therapies, and various drug combinations.

Hoping your remission continues strong!
