Lenalidomide isn't typically associated with decreasing resting heart rate. In fact, when combined with certain other medications like dexamethasone, it can increase the risk of cardiovascular complications, including blood clots in the veins or lungs.
Some common side effects of lenalidomide include:
- Fatigue
- Swelling in the arms or legs
- Shortness of breath
- Dizziness
- Respiratory tract infections
If you're noticing changes in your resting heart rate while taking lenalidomide, it's important to discuss this with your doctor. They should monitor your cardiovascular health throughout treatment, especially since routine blood tests and screenings can catch any concerning changes early.
Your care team can help determine whether the change in heart rate is related to the medication, your myeloma, or another factor that needs attention.
