Your Doctor will let you know. It is now 7 years since I was diagnosed and treated. I've had a bone marrow transplant after 1 year treatment. I work with my doctor and do my own research. When I get test results I note the abnormal ones and inquire about them on my next visit. Its no fun to have MM when you get two secondary cancers after 7 years. I now get anxious, occasionally depressed, irritable and confused. I am unable to focus and cannot do much deep thinking like I used too. Any projects I have to do must be planned with time to accomplish them. I am still very active and I am enjoying life but with grest effort, God as my helped. I wish you the very best with your treatments.
Depends on the Doctor .
I do the lung x ray CT scan and blood tests after 2 years plus now on maintenance
Not in remission. Only blood work every month..day before shot..2 yes in January
Don’t get BMB when you’re in Remission - get Quarterly Blood Sample clonoSEQ Tests. As long as you Remain MRD Negative, consider Monitoring without MM Meds.
Get the blood of your Natural Killer Cells (NKCs). MM Meds kill them off. Your NKCs are your Innate Immune System that is critical to protect since they can defend against serious infections that can be deadly.
NKCs are ranged from 4 to 25%. People who stay on MM Meds often report their NKCs are in the 1 to 3% range.
I’m at 17% and at 72 years. This is an extremely healthy level. I’m 4 years past my original Diag of Stage 2 IgA w/ t4:14 and 2 years past a single plasmacytoma bone lesion in 2023. I remain on No MM Meds for over two years now and with excellent Labs and no older age prescription meds.
As long as I remain MRD Negative I get No Annual Imaging, No BMB and No MM Meds - I no longer have MM and I know I never will again.
Learn about PectaSol-C (Modified Citrus Pectin). It does what No MM Meds can do. It releases remaining MM that tightly glued to the Niches of our Marrow, exposing them to the Natural Killer Cells for their final destruction. Only this specific brand is backed up with human Case Study Trials that shows that it helps against MM, Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer.
Great to hear that you’re In Remission for 15 months
I asked my doc that. This month is year 2 for me also. They said I would get another bone marrow biopsy before the PET scan. I did have an MRI several months back on my head because my headaches were getting so bad, it was clear of any MM and lesions. The PET scan I guess have more radiation so they don’t give them as much.
