I agree that in Dec 2025, SCT after induction is not the only option anymore. You will find a lot of other treatment options on this site and from your oncologist.

Thomas, SCT may not be 100% necessary. It’s kind of old school and many of us haven’t had one and recover with Revlimid. I was given the choice to have one and my gut told me no. I am two years is remission and have just stopped any maintenance. So don’t feel that you won’t recover without a STC. Maybe it’s a sign? I wish you the very best luck!!

Thomas, don't be too discouraged because your transplant is delayed. The myeloma treatments they have now work well. You can always collect your stem cells and have the option to keep transplant in reserve. Good luck getting your teeth in good working order. Going to get dental procedures are not fun for any of us. 😒

It’s important to prevent all infections, especially in the mouth. Infections in the mouth can cause endocarditis. It affects the whole body. It was smart of the doctors to wait. Have you read @A MyMyelomaTeam Member posts? He changed his diet and supplements and has had great success after Darzalex.
