I am fortunate to not have endured any type of pain yet, I am hoping that day never comes.
Glad you are doing better
Thankfully my bone pain is 100% gone after treatment. Before I knew i had MM I had such severe back pain (10) I needed help getting out of bed, but off to work i went. I'm a dental hygienist and I couldn't make it through one patient without getting up and trying to move around a bit. I then saw a chiropractor, which was a huge mistake. I tried that for a month. It was incredibly painful. Then I started experiencing double vision. After a couple of weeks I saw my nurse practitioner. Thankfully she knew something was wrong. Long story, but she sent me to the ER to get a MRI of my head, which they refused. They said you had to have a life threatening illness, duh! I did. Ended up waiting for another month until I could get in somewhere. MRI showed lytic lesions throughout my back, pelvis, 3 broken ribs. I actually had a myeloma tumor behind my right optic nerve. So scarey. After 5 mons of treatments, I was in remission. I had a STC in January 2025. It went so smooth and very little side affects. My brain tumor has shrunk dramatically. I feel really good. Absolutely no pain. I feel so fortunate. I feel because I was healthy before MM has greatly helped my outcome.

Don't apologize I appreciate your response. Im sorry you have pain. They did a pet scan on me and said I had some lesions on my ribs. 4 months before I was diagnosed I was experiencing nerve pain down my leg. They did xrays and told me I had degenerative disc. I wonder now if that was because of my myeloma. That pain went away but left part of my leg numb. Thank God for that because that was a 9½ on my scale for pain.
Ty again Tom
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member,
Im so sorry you had to deal with such pain. It sounds like you got through the worst of. I hope you dont have to experience pain like that again. I was pushing my limit once a couple years past with nerve pain. I know how it becomes debilitating. So far with this mm I havnt had any significant pain. 🙏.
Thanks for sharing, Tom
