Eli, Yes and yes; my initial treatment was Dexamethasone, Velcade and Revlimid (DVR). It got me into "Clinical Remission", and cleared for the stem cell transplant.

I did the same as well as stem cell transplant. I was on it for about 4 years then it stopped working. Some side effects that were manageable and some that were not. But during that 4 years I walked my daughter down the aisle and was there for the birth of my first granddaughter. For me the pros really outweighed the cons.

Hi Eli! I did the exact same thing as mcastle. My initial treatment was Dexamethasone, Velcade and Revlimid, which brought the multiple myeloma under control, so I could have my stem cell transplant. Hope all goes well for you too. Blessing!

Yes, I believe the majority of myeloma patients start with Revlimid as part of their treatments. It works for most people. I did not have a great response. I was switched to Pomalyst, Kyprolis and dexamethasone. That didn't work well either. I finally landed up on Darzalex with Pomalyst. I've been on that fo some time.
