has anyone with aggressive mm, just had the front line drugs and DID not have stem cells and is doing well? can just the drug treatment make you go into remission?
I had the BMT after the initial phase of faspro/velcade/lenolidomide. In fact, they withdrew enough stem cells to do twice. Dr. Lahoud is not a fan of CAR-T, so unfortunately should I relapse I would have to undergo another BMT. However, I would not get it, the melphalan knocked me on my ***, and going back to zero immunity is not something I'd rather go through again. So I would opt for something else.
Hi Liz, I have Lambda MM very aggressive stage 3 with the 17p deletion diagnosed in March '24 at age 67. I chose not to have an SCT because I am asymptomatic and want to work until 70, just turned 69 last week. I have a BMB scheduled for March '26 if I am negative, I will be taken off 1 of the maintenance drugs probably Darzalex faspro. Hoping it is so.
