Daratumumab (Dara) is a monoclonal antibody that helps your immune system fight myeloma cells. It works by attaching to myeloma cells, making it easier for your immune system to find and destroy them. There are two forms of daratumumab:

• Standard daratumumab (Darzalex)
• Newer version called daratumumab hyaluronidase-fihj (Darzalex Faspro) which can be administered much faster

When combined with other medications like dexamethasone and lenalidomide, daratumumab has shown positive results in about 90% of people with myeloma who had previously tried at least one other treatment.
