Fatigue is one of the most common and challenging symptoms in multiple myeloma. Unlike regular tiredness, cancer-related fatigue is an extreme exhaustion that doesn't improve with rest. This type of persistent fatigue can significantly impact daily activities and energy levels. Several factors can contribute to myeloma-related fatigue:

- Anemia (low hemoglobin levels)
- Treatment side effects, especially from steroids
- Emotional stress and anxiety following diagnosis
- Physical effects of the disease itself
- Multiple medical appointments and tests
- Sleep disruptions

Your healthcare team can work with you to identify specific causes and develop management strategies, which may include adjusting medications or addressing underlying conditions like anemia.
