Ian, CAR-T therapy is involving T cells instead of stem cells. IMF would have webinars explaining the process.
I went through the Car-T program and they had to operate on my left leg because the cancer had eaten away some of the bones. Now I have a steel rod in my femur and a metal knee cap. I was really sick from the medication and lost my hair for the second time. I'm 73 years old now and I consider myself blessed because of God.
Are you in Toronto California or Toronto Canada? CarT therapy is offered in Canada as a second line of treatment. Although there is now some science that is showing it is not necessarily the Godsend it was once thought to be.
Tina, I wonder if the CAR-T is offered anywhere in Canada as part of a clinical trial. Myeloma Canada would know for sure. I know Edmonton is doing it for lymphoma. I think Calgary is also very involved in CAR-T studies
That sounds impossible to believe! Mind you I live in Canada and have never paid a cent for any treatment or any prescriptions. The disparity saddens me.
