While no specific food directly causes or worsens myeloma, some foods may increase inflammation and impact overall health. Here are key foods to limit or avoid:

• Processed and fried foods (chips, fast food, packaged snacks)
• Red and processed meats (bacon, hot dogs)
• Sugar-sweetened beverages and sweets
• Foods made with white flour (pastries, white bread)
• Commercially produced baked goods
• Trans fats Instead of these inflammatory foods, consider healthier alternatives:

• Choose lean proteins like fish or poultry
• Opt for whole grain products
• Drink water or tea instead of sugary drinks
• Include more vegetables and legumes
• Consider following a Mediterranean-style diet that focuses on plants and healthy fats

Remember to discuss any dietary changes with your healthcare team or oncologist, who may refer you to a registered dietitian for personalized guidance.
