Pomalyst is an immunomodulatory drug that helps activate the immune system against cancer cells. Common side effects include fatigue, neuropathy (painful nerve damage), increased risk of blood clots, and low white blood cell counts which can raise infection risk. Additional side effects may include:
- Bleeding problems
- Anemia
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Tiredness
- Swelling
- Breathing problems
- Rashes
- Infections

Important note: Pomalyst can cause birth defects and should not be used by people who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or may get someone else pregnant. Your doctor may recommend taking aspirin or blood thinners to help reduce the risk of blood clots.
