I had stem cell transplant in September 2024. My hair began to grow by Christmas, but it’s charcoal gray and I would like to lighten it.

I waited about 8 months after my SCT to color and highlight my hair

I embraced my gray after SCT. My hairdresser said "no dyes for you!" and she was serious.
I say wear a wig if needed but don't dye. The less chemicals in your life the better. Chemo is chemical enough.

Pre SCT I dyed my hair. After SCT I use a rinse instead. It does wash out faster but easy to apply, cheaper and doesn't have the harsh chemicals that dyes have.

Hi Tina - I waited 6 months. There are varying thoughts about hair color, but I think there is something to be said about feeling good about your appearance and having a positive attitude. Hair color, makeup, pretty clothes - do what you need to feel good about how you look. You're still you - beautiful on the inside and out! Don't let that old myeloma change who you want to be. Blessings, my friend!♥️

No chemicals on hair. Embrace the hair God has blessed you with.
