I was on Pomalyst and my ALT and AST went way up. My oncologist stopped Pomalyst right away. Was only on it for two weeks. Elevated liver enzymes (ALT and AST) can occur as side effects of myeloma treatments. Your doctor will need to carefully monitor your liver function and may need to adjust your treatment plan. They may temporarily pause treatment or modify doses if liver enzymes become severely elevated. This is why regular blood work monitoring is essential during myeloma treatment.
