Things were adding up for new Myeloma treatments but we'll have to see the directions research goes with federal funding so wonked up now. The U.S. lags behind most other "industrialied" nations in life expectancy, infant and maternal mortality. It does, however, have a lower mortality rate from cancers.
It's the new treatments. Especially the monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics and CAR t.
Mary is right. The new medicines and the different combinations being used are the primary reasons for the symptoms being more effectively dealt with. Also, I think our doctors are more knowledgeable. We still need a cure though. Best wishes!
I guess because of modern medicine. But just because most are living longer doesn't mean that the cancer isn't still there. There's still going to be symptoms here and there. There's no cure for MM. Bit treatments. Remissions are a possibility. Still not cure.
