Staying on maintenance chemotherapy for multiple myeloma is crucial to prevent relapse and maintain remission. Here are some key points:
- Duration: Maintenance therapy typically starts after initial treatments like high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplant. The exact duration can vary based on individual circumstances and should be discussed with your healthcare team.
