My wife sells for Mattress Firm and I sold for Sleepys 10 years ago. You’ll need proper support and pressure relief. Go to a store and tell them you’ll need an hour to try. Mattresses today are not for the faint of heart nor weak of pocketbook!

Generally speaking the more money the more comfort but there are good deals at $1399.

Consider an adjustable base too.

I have a Tempurpedic. Love it. I had back surgery and neuropathy in left leg and foot. What a relief I got with this mattress. Try it 🙏💖🤗

If money is no object then Tempurpedic has several high end choices. A new one was just delivered to my wife’s store yesterday. Years ago I liked the Cloud Luxe Supreme and I would put everyone on it to feel like they were astronauts floating in space. But it was $5000. Also consider the Beautyrest Black line at $2499 queen size.

It’s important to take your time and tell the salesperson to cool their commission driven jets. You’ll need time to let your body sink in and if you feel any pain move on.

There is some kind of 120 night guarantee to try it and if it’s not for you trade it in for something more accommodating. I always recommend trying something at a store rather than buying online and then someone has to come in and take it out.

You are in this for total comfort and may use it 8 to 10 hours a day like I do. We got enough pain to deal with, we don’t need added discomfort from our mattress.

You’ll know you found the right one when you lay down and smile.

I bought a memory foam mattress to go on top of my mom’s bed. You definitely need pressure relief. Also, at end of life, this is super important, to prevent sores. My ribs hurt when I initially lay down, then it eases, but the shoulders and back are not happy, so I’m thinking of changing my mattress or getting a memory foam topper.
