Cymbalta Side Effects
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just started Cymbalta generic. Do the side effects of spaced out feeling, nauseousness, and insomnia go away? I am on 20 mg.

The side effects should go away after a month. I have been taking cymbalta 60 mg for back pain. I initially started taking it for situational depression. Then realized it helped my back since I have a herniated disc. No side effects. I hope your dude effects dissipate.

Hi Linda, I currently take 60 mg of Cymbalta. When I started on 20 mg I felt a little nauseous but my body felt so much better. I’m a nervous wreck as it is anyway so it does target nerve pain not because I’m a nervous wreck, but because that’s what the medicine does. Lol, I hope that you adjust to the medicine.

Love
Susan

PS like I always say defer back to your doctor.

My most prominent side effect was sleepiness. It went away in a week or two.

Linda,
That sounds awful. Have you talked to your doctor? Maybe they can start you out on a lower dose. Our bodies are all different.
