I have had Kappa Light Chain MM going on 4 years. I was very sick and had high light chains when diagnosed. I took 5 months of VRD, that changed into CyBorD when I had horrific hives from Revlimid. I had ASCT in 2021 then was maintained on Velcade every other week until this last year when light chains gradually climbed from 2-3 to over my 10mg/dl "limit". I am now around 14. I currently have no symptoms, I feel well, actually better since I quit the Velcade a month ago.

I have to agree that doctors seem to over do it with prescribing meds. They do try their best but everyone is different and we really have to go by some of our own research. It is our body and we do have choices. We should do what our gut tells us. Wishing you success!
Thanks for your response @A MyMyelomaTeam Member My Kappa Light chains are 140 using the mg/L scale, It confused me for a bit, since Mayo reports in the mg/dL scale (14)and my local labs are in the mg/L scale(140), should have made that clearer in my OP. My MRD post ASCT was 0.0074%. Seems such a tiny number, but still NOT zero.
Hi Hannah
I just looked up my Labs
Kappa Light Chains limit high is 19
Lamda Light Chains limit high is 26
At 14 you are completely Normal
Don’t let them overmedicate you
What’s your MSipke
Did you ever have a MSpike
Are you taking Darzalex or DarzalexFasPro - it creates a False MSpike of 0.2 or less
Lab test 123218 is IFE, Dara-Specific, Serum. It will correct for False MSpike errors (from many sources including Evusheld)
Have you had a MRD test and what’s the results
If not, get a blood sample clonoSEQ test. They will retrieve your original BMB, genetically map it and compare your blood sample to determine if you are in Complete Remission
I take no MM Meds - get monthly full Labs and quarterly blood sample clonoSEQ - I’m Negative at 10 -6. Original was 5915 IgA, 208 K/L ratio, one high risk t4:14. Darz+RVD and No SCT
Get a clonoSEQ MRD test and decide from that. Since your CBC and others are normal you may be in Complete Remission and able to do extremely low dose MM Meds or just Monitoring
Get monthly Labs and monitor your kidneys and liver
Hannah Leah,
Check out @A MyMyelomaTeam Member for answers. He is opting to take meds for very short amounts of time, until he gets to MRD negative. I’m not a fan of toxic drugs. I think I would be trading one pain for another.

I did the revlimid until it stopped working and then I was put on polimist 4 MG.
That was to much for me. Then I got covid and after they cured I had no cancer show up. So they wanted me to resume treatments but l erected too take nothing. I was cancer free for over 2 years
When me light chains started to go up. They have me on darzalex faspro once a month and 1mg of polimist. It looks like its working
My numbers are 53. You have told do the research yourself
