Necrosis Of The Jaw
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, just wanted to tell you a little of what I have learned this week. My husband Ed, (was diagnosed with MM in 2016) has Necrosis of the jaw. He was on Zometa for three years. Apparently it's hard to find oral surgeons that know how to treat osteonecrosis of the jaw. Myeloma patients are more at risk because we are on bisphosphonates longer than any other patients. I hope the worst is over for Ed.

Pbaldini......that is exactly what the surgeon had been doing. The decision was made between Ed's dentist, his surgeon and his Oncologist. Believe me, it is a scary process. Why the turn around, we aren't really sure.
