Does anybody can tell me if insurances are cooperating on paying for these cancer medicines and approximately how much these pharmaceuticals charge for them. I'm still waiting for the Clinic to get an approval from my insurance, I have Humana. My son is investigating if Laetrile fight cancer cells as many doctors say so, 500 mg. 4 times a day, but it could be dangerous?
Thank you and good luck to you.
Thank you.
I am on Humana and did not have problems with in hospital treatment. They get it pre approved. I’m now on Revlimid maintenance and get help from organizations. I am 80 yo🙏🦋
Excellent questions Mario3. I’m assuming you’re Italian because you’re 89 years old and still feisty. My grandmother Lucia made it to 93 and her father Tommy Dadino also 93. That said I’m sure you’re on Medicare and have Humana like I do. If I’m analyzing this right it looks like Medicare has paid the bulk of my million dollar bill and Humana has had a cake walk. And all drugs administered in the hospital have been paid. But when you go to the drug store or have it shipped to your door YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE! And even if you have a good prescription plan you are still on the hook for many cancer drugs. For example, Ziexstenzo shots mailed to my house, NOT COVERED. Revlimid shipped to me every month NOT COVERED. You have to plead charity to get it free. Frustrating and humiliating. My oncology team tells me they pre approve everything. They call Medicare and say, “we’re going to give Parker a PET scan for $10,000, will you pay for it?” I’m guessing Laetrile is NOT COVERED. But I consider myself lucky in that we may be out of pocket two or three thousand dollars and of course this cancer has prevented me from working so our income has dropped. I can’t address your other problems of low hemoglobin or other deficiencies. But you are in good hands at Mayo. Hope this helps.
