He was told to go to go to ER to get Paxlovid. ER doctor did not want to give it to him because it was the third day of his symptoms. Good grief. My doctor just gave me an RX to have on hand if I tested positive. I'm going to see if I can get some more. I think mine expired
Hi,Rita again just something of interest.......I have Covid, now. a gift from Ed. Called my doctor to get Paxlovid. Nurse who took my info said five days after onset of symptoms was the cut off date for Paxlovid. Doctor I spoke to to said seven, ER doctor told us three.......REALLY!?!
I had covid in September. I had to stop Revlimid (9 pills wasted) and the urgent care gave me Lagevrio, 4pills every 12hrs for 5 days. Also skipped a treatment week. I drank a lot of chicken bone broth and soups for about a month, it took that long to get rid of cough. Best of luck to him and you.
Hi Rita, I think most people on here had to pause their treatment while recovering from Covid. As far as his labs go, I don't know where he is in treatment, but one set of labs is like one blood pressure, it doesn't really tell you much. The doctor will want to recheck them. Everyone one has bad days, but if his doctor is consistently not responding to your questions, maybe consider getting another opinion. 💕
Another question we have is: he takes an anti viral and anti bacterial, is that why his symptoms were more mild than they could have been?
