I have been taking oxycodone for pain and I would like to know if there is someone who has been taking medical marijuana while being in remission: Did it hinder the remission, was it a negative factor in your continued remission

I'm thinking you could call the help number listed on the International Myeloma Foundation website. U.S. & Canada: 800-452 CURE (2873) or email them at (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) The website is: https://www.myeloma.org/ Perhaps they may be able to get some answers/opinions from all the specialists available to them. There is also the "Ask Dr. Durie" questions on the site. I looked but didn't see an answer to your question. Please let us know if you find out anything. I'm sure a lot of people would like to know.

I was in remission for 9 years and did use medical marijuana to relax and stop anxiety. However I was not on any maintenance drugs during my first long remission.

I took Ginger cookies with THC infused when first diagnosed. Helped with stomach issues, appetite, and sleep. I still do edibles or flower in the evening for pain, sleep and appetite. I spoke to my oncologist and he didn’t discourage or encourage just said if it helps use it as there is currently not enough research to support it or not.

I’ve tried it off and on since chem/radiation was first started on me. It does not agree with me. I’ve got it from an official dispensary and I’ve had it paralyze me twice. I gave up on it for now.

I have been using a resin It take only a dose as big as a grain of rice just before bed. Pain is gone almost immediately. I never feel high and I sleep a solid 8 hours and no after effects.
