Tammy,
I Google everything. MM is one of the hardest cancers to understand. Even the Specialist haven’t found a cure because it is so complicated. It’s taken me years of research to understand half of my test results and bone marrow biopsies. I make a list of questions to ask the doctor.

Hey Tammy, the Healthtree Foundation website has learning modules that tell all about myeloma and the labs. It is truly amazing. I binge watch all the videos. You need to know what type of myeloma you have. If you are IgG kappa for instance, your kappa light chains will be high and your ratio will be high when your myeloma is active💜
Low MCHC could mean anemia. It’s best to ask your doctor because low numbers and high numbers look bad to us, but for doctors, they look for the number that is the tipping point. I thought IgA at 595 was bad but to doctors, 3,000 may be the tipping point.

Thank you for your responses, I appreciate it ❤️
It’s a kappa/lambda ratio. 17.27 divided by 6.82 = 2.53. The ratio is what doctors think is important.
