Have any of you been given Arenesp /Darbepoetin alfa/ for anemia?

Yesterday, to the standard Darzalex, bortezomib, Xgeva, calcium and this new medication were added to me Aranesp for anemia, because my hemoglobin keeps dropping and I need blood transfusions every two to three weeks. However, I read that this medication is not used for bone marrow cancer. Has anyone else had it put on and if so - what are their reasons and can it be used for myeloma?

Hi Valeri, we can't advise you on whether or not to take the shots. Your doctor should discuss the pros and cons with you. There are articles out there that discuss this drug and myeloma. 💕
