I just had Car T June 29, 2023. My doctors office today verbally confirmed to me that there is no active myeloma or any Meyeloma in my body. I am officially cancer free.! I was diagnosed with IgG light chain multiple myeloma August 28 of 2020 that was the 2nd worst day of my life. When I got my stem cell transplant in February 2021 My doctor just told me that it might not last and it didn’t three months later I needed to have chemo treatments. I took a myriad of medication‘s and Biologics. He also told me that the Car T transplant. Therapy was in clinical trials and would be coming out of clinical trials. He was telling me this because he knew that I would use it down the road. Well I did and it was hard. I had so many people around me that love and care for me, and supporting me praying for me and I get to say today that I am cancer free! Glory to be to God in the highest !

I had a car-t cell october 31.2022..I have been chemo and cancer free since then..hurrah!

Congratulations Susan! Way to go...I am going on month 15 chemo and cancer free...keeping my fingers crossed and leading a very careful, thoughtful life...I feel like it is a gift from the angels that I have this time after 4 years of chemo!

Is that the same as a stem cell transplant? That's what I had and I've been in remission for 10 years. I see my oncologist every 3 months for a blood test.
