4-5 Week Break For Stem Cell Harvest
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

For those that harvested their stem cells and had a 4-6 week break from chemo during the process, did your light chains and M-spike numbers remained the same during this break, or continue to go down or went up slightly before chemo treatments started up again?

My answer is complicated. I got high dose Cytoxan 3gm/metered squared on (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). Paraprotein was 1.00 gm/dl. This was after induction. I didn't have a great response. 9-1-17 to 9-13-17 I was in the hospital with sepsis and an abdominal wound. 10-5-17 paraprotein was 1.31. So Cytoxan didn't do much except almost killed me. I was able to do the stem cell harvest in in October. Started Darzalex, Pomalyst and Prednisone on 10-26-17. I had it right up until I was able to get my wound healed. I was finally able to have a transplant Dec 20, 2017. I had Darzalex on 12-13-2017. I didn't really have a break from treatment. My paraprotein was 0.92 going into transplant. It came down some with the Darzalex and Pomalyst. So, I think they were afraid to let me be off treatment
