Treatment W Sarclisa Dex And Carfilzomib
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone been treated with the above combo doctor is putting me on this starting tomorrow. It was either that or the Car T treatment. I’m so not ready for.

Thanks Everyone!

Susan

The initial literature I was provided on Revlimid advised taking it with a blood thinner. The oncologist who was treating me, said a daily 81mg aspirin would be sufficient, so I have been on it since November 2021. Fortunately, I have not had any blood clots.

No, aspirin is to prevent clots. But once you get clots, you need a blood thinner like Xarelto or Eloquis 😉

You are amazing. They keep changing treatment on you and you continue to March on. I hope this one sticks for a while.

I Googled Sarclisa (Isatuximab-irfc). It says it’s preferred for Category I by the NCCN in combination with Carfilzomib and dexamethasone or pomalidomide and dex. The last combo you only can get after 2 prior treatments. Sarclisahcp.com

Hi Susan, is this your relapsing treatment? Also I was reading a Mayo Clinic article on Car T and they were on the skirt about it. Sometimes there are good results but not always. But I guess that goes for stem cell transplants too. Did you ever have that?
