Hi Cynthia, my myeloma was diagnosed because I had an Amyloid tumor in my mouth. It’s never been made very clear to me if I have both Amyloidosis and Myeloma. From what I understand, the amyloid tumor formed because of the Myeloma. I was told it’s the same treatment no matter what I have. I sought the opinion of 5 or 6 doctors, and no one has given me a straight answer, only that it’s the same treatment. I have been on Dexamethasone, Velcade and daratumumab, first weekly for 16 weeks and now the same regimen monthly.. good luck ♥️Barb
