Be sure to check with your doctor if your are getting dental care beyond a basic cleaning.

Xgeva is a bone strengthening drug. It is not chemo per se. Most myeloma patients use a bone strengthening drug for a period of time. My husband had 24 doses of pamidronate.
Hope you tolerate it well🙏❤️

JoeB thats very good advice so you don’t get a lower jaw infection if the tooth socket won’t heal properly or even a cleaning because I met a guy who went for a cleaning and got a lower jaw infection and had too have half his jaw bone replaced with Titanium. The reason the lower jaw doesn’t want too heal properly is the low blood flow too the lower jaw. Ronald Chin I think had a lower jaw bone infection and he managed too heal it up just fine.

I couldn’t take xgeva- had the worst pain in my hip for 6 weeks! I was also allergic to Prolia and Fosamax! Good luck and I hope you can tolerate it!
