1st oncologist had no bedside manners
2nd oncologist seem to be able to explain what was going on, She would sometimes argue with me, the medicine makes your head really fuzzy, Why couldn't she just be compassionate ,when she would run test she wouldn't tell me why. For 5 months there was no communications at all. they did check my labs and renew revlimid but there was no communications at all. After 5 months I said something and she kind of bit my head off then came back and… read more

You have to be your own advocate. It’s the unfortunate truth about our medical industry. I too had to chase down getting my Revlimid meaning I had to have them called to get the prior authorization I called again to make sure they got it approved and then I got the call from The Specialty Pharmacy. Your doctors should be able to take 5 to 7 minutes to sit and talk with you answer any questions. I always put a list of questions that I had in my phone as to not miss anything so that’s an idea for you. You don’t have to be rude but you know squeaky wheel gets the grease !

All the best!

How difficult it must be for you not feeling you and your oncologist aren’t partners and you’re just another patient, maybe just a number. We need skill and caring. I hope you can find a new oncologist with MM specialty skills AND a compassionate demeanor.💕💕

Thank you Tammie, 1st I want you to know that I tell my daughter when I give her advice you don't have to be rude when talking to someone to get your point across. Thank you and I so agree. I instructed My oncologist that I will be doing my labs 2 weeks into my prescription to give her more time that she seems to need to fill the prescription, I will be calling specialty pharmacy,I will be checking on all of it, like you said I'd already made that decision, I'm pulling my big girl panties and I'm on the road.. Thank you thank you

There is a phone number for all of oncologist I can leave a message. I was going to drive into Modesto and go into that office and see if I can talk to someone. I just feel like Kaiser does not have my back.
