Joan4. Thanks for responding. The process seamed overwhelming on paper but its been seamless. I do recommend going to your primary care team if your able to. My Dr's office is literally 2 minutes from home so that made it easy.

As far as the the immunizations themselves, Because we had the sct each series is broken down into one thirds of the amount and repeated one month later. Some I didn't need and some are done at the same time. So there are frequent trips to the office. I also don't have to see the Dr. The nurse administers the shot.

Hi Chuck- the Sloan Kettering cancer clinic recommends redoing tetanus,diphtheria & pertussis vaccines after asct but my doctors have never mentioned it. I will surely be asking about it now that you’ve brought it up. Of course I have received all Covid, flu and pneumonia shots. Thanks for your question as it has now served as a good reminder 👍

I actually did get 5 or 6 shots in one day. I did okay though

My original question is after having all the required shots post SCT, are we to get anymore pneumonia shots?
