My bone pain instant and lengthy.. I find that movement is not good sometime.. If I don't move my waist left right? I'm good but if I move it. Then I've got pain. I forgot to add I ended up having seven tumors they found on a CT and on MRI two pathological fractures in my ribs very painful another pathological fracture in my neck uncomfortable but not as painful as the ribs collarbone never developed a pathological fracture that I'm aware of but the most painful possibly because of the way it moves. And then two tumors in my lumbar spine that to me was just my usual arthritis pain I did not ever suspect there was a tumor there. So I think that kind of answers your question that it can come on suddenly and also very gradually and other issues you have may mask the pain or confuse the source, that was my problem I went several months buying new pillows and adjusting my sleep number bed and everything else I could think of because again I thought I was sleeping wrong.
