What Other Medications Have You Changed To After Revlimid And Velcade Ceased To Be Effective?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

I was diagnosed in June of 2020 and had a stem cell transplant in January of 2021. I have been on Revlimid and Velcade the entire time. My latest lab tests show a definite decline. I am wondering if there is another medication that people have changed to after these two quit being beneficial.

Pomalyst is more potent than Revlimid. It's given when Revlimid stops working. It is not cheaper. About 22k a month. Please continue to try to get funding for your Revlimid. Hopefully this situation will change in 2025

Donna, I canโ€™t see my thank you response and I am so thankful for your help. So if you got two, itโ€™s 998 more than you deserve. I so appreciate your help. I had bad lab results today and feel so much better knowing that there are other options available. Thank you!

Hi Donna- Is Pomalyst considered a replacement for Revlimid and is it cheaper? The generic lenalidomide with Medicare is just under 12K a year. Thanks, Mark

I flunked RVD pretty early. So they tried Kyprolis, Pomalyst and dex. That didn't work for me. I then had high dose Cytoxan to help with collection. Don't want that again. Then they started me on Darzalex, Pomalyst and dexamethasone. That worked. Was able to have a transplant. I'm still on Pomalyst and Darzalex 5 years after transplant. So you will have options๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’—
