How Do You Handle Unsolicited Advice Or Comments About Myeloma?
Charles yes enjoy every new day because that’s one more extra day of life that you are fortunate enough too have and not everyone gets the extra time. It’s been 20years since I was diagnosed with MM so if you’re lucky you can live a long time with MM because luckily it’s very treatable.
Actually, I just look at them and smile, because most people have never heard of MM and herbal tea is not a cure all. 😀
I calmly say thank you, but my oncologist and MM specialist asked me to stay off the internet and don't listen to people who want to cure me with miracle vitamins, diets, and exercise programs. AND my son-in-law is an oncologist, so if I have questions in between visits, he's my go-to guy.
Trust in yourself, your specialist(s), your care providers and any fellow patients you have come to know. Ignore the rest.
Tell them thank you, I will check with my oncologist.
