Tricia, is right. MGUS is a general term. You need a bone marrow biopsy to tell which type you are. The pathologist can tell from a bone marrow biopsy which type if monoclonal protein your MGUS secretes. Yours must be IgG Kappa. Which is the most common type. πŸ’—

The IGG kappa is the type of MGUS or MM precursor that you have. I have IGG kappa MM. they can figure out which type you have very early on.
