Has Anyone Tried Acupuncture Since Being Diagnosed? If So, Any Changes In Numbers?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Over my adult years I have used acupuncture for knee pain and other minor ailments that I cannot remember. I do remember that I have had at least five treatments and neck adjustments. Since the MGUS/ Smoldering diagnosis, I am reluctant to try acupuncture or have neck adjustments for overall wellness. I continue with massages at least twice a month since the diagnosis, but notice that I am more tense and not able to fall asleep during my sessions as I used to. Hey Jesus, my hubby had excellent relief from his shoulder pain with acupuncture. I would check with your doctor first. I don't think it would hurt.💜

Jesus, I have acupuncture on a regular basis. I checked with my Dr after my SCT in January and he gave me clearance after 6 weeks. I feel it helps ground me and has a positive all around effect on balancing my body. It is so relaxing and calming for me that I fall asleep almost right away. It really works for me. I can't really speak to it's effects on my numbers as they are good at this point anyway. I think it does more for me than massage so I plan on continuing with it but I am now on a once a month schedule instead of weekly when I was first recovering. I do feel like the acupuncture made a big difference in speeding up my recovery time.
I hope this is helpful for you!

I do acupuncture about once a month, it does help the pain and diarrhea, not sure about he numbers, however my last full panel was almost perfect.
My doctor is aware of my treatments, said it was okay.
I feel better after my treatments.
