Looking For Feedback From Anyone That Has Done CarT Therapy?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

There is a new study that I am potentially eligible for involving cart T cells. I am newly diagnosed have not started treatment, at a high risk for leukemia so need to delay any stem cell transfusions for as long as possible. The study is looking for people in my category to see if doing the standard 4 rounds of rvd, stem cell harvesting then cat T cell therapy will give results similar or better then the current car T cell therapy after 4 relapses
Does anyone have any experience with cat T… read more

Not a problem we are here to encourage and help each other! This is a scary thing to go through. Especially never speaking to anyone who has gone through it. The first night I ran a fever of 103.5 they gave me medicine and controlled the fever. That was as bad as it got. I went home in 2 days. Now I was not normal I ran out of energy slept a lot hurt a lot( this was going on before the CTC. But some days I felt stronger and with each day I felt stronger. As I said 10 weeks after my infusion I was found CANCER FREE!

Thanks so much for your feedback. Reading the trial authorization forms is worse then reading a prescription side effect form. It make it sound like I will do everything short of explode (hyperbole😵‍💫). i added you to my team, I hope to see updates on how your doing and how long you stay in remission. I am not scheduled to start any treatment till next week so it will be a number of months before I get to the other side. I do have a lot of peace about participating on n the study. Like you Jesus gets all the glory no matter what happens or how this all ends.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer!!!!

I am currently a graduate of the ABECMA CAR-T -CELL. May 9th of this year my T-Cells were harvested. At that time they were sent to a manufacturing plant where they were changed into the cancer eating cells. On July 14 and 15 I received the chemo. This was milder the the chemo used for the SCT, I didn’t lose my hair! Never felt sick at all. Two days later in the 18 of July, they infused the new cancer eating cells! On September 27, 2022, I was declared in complete remission!
Blood, Urine, and Bone Marrow tests ALL SHOWED NO CANCER!
I PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS!
Isaiah 53:5
“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 tells me that the same Grace that saves us is the same Grace that heals us! I never took my eyes off of JESUS CHRIST!!! Praise HIS HOLY NAME!!!

So glad it is going well. I hope your partner had a good laugh over some of your antics. I am sure they needed it.
