Did Anyone Know About The New Generic Velcade?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just learned that I have been getting the generic Velcade since the beginning of July. I noticed there was huge price difference on my bill, and called my hospital to see if they had made a mistake. Turns out that it indeed was the correct pricing! It dropped $4000! That might also be why I've been feeling different after my last few injections. A little more run down, weaker and slightly nauseous. 🤔 Funny no one informed me of this at the infusion center.

Greetings from Alaska I hadn’t heard Velcade went generic but that would stand to reason why my bill was very low as well I thought maybe the government got a good discount. I know Revlimid has also gone generic. I will be on the lookout for changes and side effects I know people are experiencing different side effects with the new generic revlimid

Greetings from Alaska I too am a veteran and VA covers my Revlimid cost me nothing. My oncologist sends my script in to the VA and then the pharmacy calls me which is McKesson and my medicine is mailed out to me FedEx. The VA has been really good they provide all my medicine as well as sent me to Seattle for my SCT I have no complaints about my service with the VA. God bless take care

Good morning, Betty. Like Paul said, try not to get discouraged. It is so hard not to though. I hope your numbers go back down. They will probably try to get as much mileage out of your current treatment that they can. I actually have less side effects on the Darzalex and Pomalyst than I did on the Velcade and Revlimid. So there is that. I am trying to read as much as I can on CAR t therapy. One and done treatment would be so nice, but it's not without side effects either. Live and prayers your way. Donna 🙏💗💕
