My husband has Kappa free light chain MM. He had his first cycle of chemo with Kyprolis, Dexa and Revlimid. The first round was fine. Yesterday the second round started and he was given Zometa. He has severe mailaise and is experiencing flu like symptoms - body pains including pain in the knee joints, stiffness in the back and neck etc

I get pain in my hips and knees after kripolis for a couple of days it is due to the dexamethazone ,l have only had mild flu like symptoms with zometa drinking plenty fluids is important to flush out kidneys energy levels plummet for two days then start to improve đź‘Ť
I have the flu-like symptoms for about a day. Chills, aches, the whole thing. It passes.
I never had pain from Zometa. It’s the growth factor shots that light you up. Claritin was offered but when you are on two a days in preparation for a stem cell harvest you feel like you’ve been beaten with a bag of nickels.,My APRN during weekend clinic ordered Celebrex and it was the best thing ever.?

I had this for about 4 days after Zometa. I was told to take Tylenol and drink lots of waterđź’ś
