My husband's white blood count and neutrophils were low last week so they did not do treatment. Revlimid, Dexamethasone, Velcade, Darzalex. When we went on Monday of this week, his counts were up so they decided to do treatment. They took him off the Revlimid - doc thinks that is what is causing the low blood counts so they are going to see where he is in a week. After two weeks of treatment, we did see a lowering of the M-spike and light chains so doc said the drugs are working. I am just… read more
My WBC and neutrophils were also suppressed on Revlimid. My dosing was lowered to 10 mg. Mon-Fri for three weeks on, one off. This is my maintenance. They came back up for a few months, but last month were low again. 🙄
I never had to stop any of my treatment until after I reached the controlled treatment stage. We went to 10mg of Rx Revelimad every day and in ten days I broke out with a rash. We were only using Rx Revelimad so we stopped and started using a steroid 20mg daily for a month and the rash went away. We then decided to keep the steroid 20mg and start Rx Revelimad 10mg three days a week Monday Wednesday and Friday. After a month I was still not rash FREE however I was talking 10mg of the steroid on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and talking 20mg of the steroid with the Rx Revelimad 10mg on Monday Wednesday and Friday. My A1C blood draws jumped from the regular 6.4 to 7.2 so we decided to begin eliminating the steroid. It took two months to completely eliminate the steroid and still have NO rash and my next A1C test was back at 6.4. I don't take anything for my sugar and control it with diet and exercise. Therefore I am currently taking zero steroid for the rash and I am taking Rx Revelimad 10mg three days a week Monday Wednesday and Friday with no rash and my last 13 blood test have resulted in NOT DETECTED.
I am doing well thanks. Jack
Greetings from Alaska I was diagnosed March 2021 and was started on Revlimid dexamethasone and Velcade. My count went down and I was off for treatment for six weeks and then I was restart with a lower dose of Revlimid and in December 2021 I received SCT I’m now seven months out and doing fairly well still not taking Revlimid only Velcade and dexamethasone and the numbers are down I am still MRD positive but only in one area and there’s no M spike to be quantified in the labs so I’m doing fairly well. Have a great weekend and God bless
Yes! They try to get rid of the myeloma without taking us out with it😉
Thanks! Quite a balancing act isn't it?
